Writing is only half the job for an effective article marketing campaign. The other half is submitting them to good article directories. Article marketing provides you with a number of benefits; it can bring traffic to your site, generate valuable backlinks to attract the search engines, and produce profits. But in order to accomplish these goals, you need to submit your articles to quality submission sites.

First of all, make sure that the sites you are submitting to are getting traffic. New directories spring up everyday and these new sites get very little traffic at first. I am frequently solicited by start-up directories asking me to submit articles to their sites. By submitting to sites that get plenty of traffic, you can be assured that people will see your articles and click on your links.

It is also important to check the Google Page Rank of the sites you submit to. Submit only to those sites that have a higher Page Rank than your own web site. This ensures that the links you get will benefit you. You get very little benefit by submitting to sites with very low PR.

If you are just introducing a new web site, you should submit articles to as many directories as possible. Each article should contain a link back to your site. The search engines see the large number of links pointing to your site and reward it accordingly.

In order to maximize the number of links that you get with your article marketing campaign, submit your articles to at least 150 sites. This is most easily done using some sort of article submission software. Getting your article out to 150 directories manually could take you 6 to 8 hours. Using submission software can reduce this time down to just an hour or two.

It is better to post one article every other day than to submit 15 articles once a month. By doing it every other day, the search engines will visit your blog on a regular basis and give your site a higher ranking. This will increase your site’s visibility and bring your blog traffic.

4. Submit you blog to as many different blog directories as possible. There are a number of services that will take care of this tedious work for you, but it is an important step in getting traffic, especially when the site is new.

5. You should also submit your site to the rss feed submission sites. Rss subscribers represent a significant following for the largest blogs and can bring you a significant amount of traffic and income. This is very important, don’t skip this step! In addition, this is another good way to build up one way links to your site and, as mentioned above, the search engines love one way links and will reward your site with traffic.

6. Use the social bookmarking sites for every article you post. There are a number of free sites that will do this for you. You can find them by doing a search, but I recommend onlywire dot com. They will submit your post to 22 other bookmarking sites. By effectively bookmarking your posts, you can instantly increase your blog traffic.

7. Develop partnerships with blogs in the same and related niches. Comment frequently on other blogs and leave a link to your own blog in your signature. Set up strategic partnerships with other blogs and use small ads in visible locations to refer readers to each other’s site.

Technorati will rate your blog based on the number of votes you get. Blogs with the highest rankings will get the most traffic.

In this case, your article will appear in search results only for the sites with the highest Page Rank. This means that the article you place on your own site will not appear in the search results.

However, there is a way around this. To get your website’s article to show up in search engine listings, you must rewrite it before placing it on your site. By changing the wording of your article and changing the title, search engines will see it as an entirely different article and will show it in search result listings.

Although it is not always possible, you can frequently get the articles you place on your website on page one of search engine results. Using these tactics, you can generate massive traffic and turn that traffic into huge profits. In order to do this, you need to use an effective keyword strategy. Use your keyword or key phrase:

At the beginning of your title
In the first paragraph
At least 4 times in the body of your article
At least once in a text link
In the description Meta tag
In the keyword Meta tag

3 Tips To Make Money Writing Articles

If you can write a short 300 to 500 word article, you can make money online. In fact, you can make a lot of money. Every Web site provides some type of information posted online, otherwise, there is no pointing having a site. Most savvy web masters are always on the lookout for fresh content to attract the search engines and bring in traffic. If you can supply this type of fresh article content, you can earn a very nice online income.

Each article you write can earn anywhere from $5 to $100. As you can see, the more articles you write, the more money you will make. Some writers are very prolific and can write 20 to 30 articles a day. If you can only write one or two a day, don’t worry; speed will come as you practice your skill.

There are three basic methods that you can use to start your article business.

1. You can write articles at any of the out-sourcing sites. To find these sites, do a search for ghostwriters. Using this method, you are almost certain to make some money, but it is not the best way to get well-paid writing assignments.

Develop a signature file that promotes your article writing abilities. Look for posts related to articles and comment on these threads. Enter your own posts relating to your article business and within a short time, you will generate more business than you can handle.

Article marketing can be very profitable part of your online business, but you have to write one or more articles per day. Many excellent writers who want to get started are reluctant because English is not their primary language and they want to sell to an English speaking market. I have spoken with a number of my subscribers who are dealing with this problem. In addition, these individuals frequently have difficulty in getting their articles approved by the large article directories.

If you find yourself in this situation, there is an alternative for you. Seek out a mentor, a friend online who is willing to help you out. Make sure your mentor is a good writer and is totally familiar with sentence structure and English grammar.

I know what you are thinking… “Who would help me, I don’t know anyone online?” Make some friends, join some lists. List owners are usually more than willing to help their subscribers. I have personally re-written articles in English for a number of my subscribers. It only takes five minutes.

So if you want to try to get into the lucrative field of article marketing, but don’t have the language skills, ask around. Surely there are others out there who can spare a few minutes of their precious time to help you out.

Here is another similar idea that you can try. Write ten to twenty articles and get them corrected by one or more mentors. Then take those twenty articles to an online service provider like Elance and look for writers who can completely re-write those articles for one dollar each. I have seen projects like this on services like Elance.

Once you get those articles re-written, post another project using the same terms. That way, you are getting your articles written for about fifty cents each. And in the article marketing business, that price is a real steal! Try it; it may work for you.

How To Triple Your Article URL Clicks

Many of the large article directories provide statistics that detail the number of page views, URL clicks, and the number of times that your article was published in other websites. If you are submitting articles on a regular basis, you should check your article statistics at least once a month. By analyzing your article statistics, you can determine which articles and categories are performing the best. Then you can concentrate on writing more articles in those areas that are most successful for you and are generating the best response. Most writers make the mistake of ignoring this information.

If the goal for your articles is to have them published by webmasters, check the articles that were used most frequently for other websites. To do this, calculate the percentage that your article was published. Don’t just look for the article that has the highest publishing number. To calculate the percentage, divide the number of times published by the number of page views, then multiply the result by 100. This will tell you the percentage.

I also like to look at the number of URL Clicks. The percentage is figured in the same way. Analyze your 10 best performing articles in detail. Study the categories, titles, and summaries. And more importantly, examine the terminology that you used in your resource box. Look for similarities. If you find a common theme or common terminology, write articles using these same winning techniques. That way, you will continually upgrade your marketing statistics.

My best articles achieved a 38% URL click through rate while my worst performing articles received about 1%. That is a huge difference. But, if I never checked that data, I’d have no idea which articles and subjects were performing the best. By focusing my efforts and using terminology similar to that in my best performing articles, I can double or even triple my overall article clicks. So check your statistics often and you will become a much more successful article marketer.

Check out the replies to see if anyone is looking for fresh content. If you do not find any buyers, enter you own posts indicating that you write articles. Do not mention a price, ask that interested parties send you a private message giving the details on what they are looking for.

The other easy technique to generate income with your articles is by becoming a ghostwriter. A ghostwriter is someone who writes content for others. You should be aware that the buyer of your material will own all of the rights to it. Your buyer will even take credit as the author of the content.

Begin by doing a search for ghostwriters. There are many companies out there that employ ghostwriters. Register with several of them and follow their terms of service regarding submissions. Some companies will pay you as soon as you submit an article and other companies will not pay you until the article is sold.

To maximize the income you make from ghostwriting, examine their lists of special request subjects. Writing articles on these subjects will usually pay more because the company has active buyers in these areas.

So, if you are writing articles anyway and want to earn some extra cash, consider writing for others. You can make a very nice income using these techniques.

One of the best marketing techniques for your new online business is writing articles. It is far superior to placing ads in bringing traffic to your website. And you can even pay companies to submit them, but if you are just starting out, you are better off writing and submitting them yourself.

An article should be written with two purposes in mind. First and foremost, it should give good solid information to the reader. Do not write fluff articles full of self-praise that provide nothing of value. The viewing public is not stupid, after a short while, they will see through this and stop viewing your articles. This is the kiss of death for an article writer. Always provide good information in your articles.

Second, it should entice the viewer to see the information that you have included in the resource box. Always include two or three links to your opt in (squeeze) page along with links to products that you recommend. You will get more clicks on these links if your article and the links in your resource box are related. And, if possible, always try tie the two together.
