How to Get 50% of Your Visitors onto Your List

In order to be really successful online, you must have a list. And one of the best ways to create a targeted, profitable list is through the use of a squeeze page. And the best part, your squeeze page doesn’t have to cost you a penny.

So, what is a squeeze page? A squeeze page is a page on your website that has only one purpose. Its purpose is to collect the names and email addresses of people who visit your site.

There should be never be any links on your squeeze page. That means you should not have any AdSense ads, no links to affiliate products or your own sales pages, no links to other articles, nothing.

It should be set up so that visitors have only one option; to fill in their name and email address and opt-into your list. The only thing that should appear on the page is a number of bulleted benefits to joining your list and your opt in form. That’s it!

A great squeeze page will convert as many as 35% to 50% of your visitors into subscribers. To calculate your conversion ratio, divide the number of opt in’s by the total number of visitors. If your conversion ratio is less than 25%, your squeeze page probably needs some work.

Your squeeze page should include bold colored headlines to get the attention of your visitors. In addition, you should include a bulleted list to describe other benefits of joining your list. And it is much easier to entice visitors to opt-in if your offer them something for free. This can include an ecourse of some kind or a free ebook. These offers work quite well as people are always interested in getting something for nothing.
