How to Double Your Email Open and Click Through Rate

I’m sure that you’ve heard it before…a good list is vitally important to the success of your online business. But even more important; you need your email recipients to open your emails and click through your links. An easy way to double your open and click through rate involves the use of good informative articles.

In most cases, your subscribers want information. It is the reason that they joined your list. Unfortunately, it is natural for your open rate to decline over time. That is, the longer someone has been on your list, the fewer emails they will open. In addition, if you send them frequent sales pitches, your open rate will decline even more.

So what can you do to increase your open and click through rate? Try sending them the articles that you are submitting to article directories. Assuming that your articles are full of new and interesting content, your subscribers would love to get that information on a regular basis.

Each week, determine which of your articles provides the very best and informative content that is related to your niche. Then send this article to your subscribers. If you do this on a regular basis, after a month or two, you will find that your open rate, and more importantly, your click through rate will increase dramatically.

To test it, send an email to your list today and track your open and click through rate. Make a note of these figures and save it for future reference. Then each week, send out your best article from the preceding week, using the following format:

Following, is a great informative article that I thought you might be interested in seeing.

Include your article here (and make sure it has a relevant link or two).

After doing this for six to eight weeks, track your open and click through rate for your most recent article email. You’ll discover that your recent figures far surpass the rates you were getting when you first started this program.
