Thousands of people establish new online businesses everyday. Many of them look for success with affiliate products. Unfortunately, most of them will make little or no money. What could they have done differently to be successful?
Developing a list can make a significant difference in the amount of money you make. Without a list, you are forced to send your prospects to the affiliate merchant one at a time. If your prospect loves the product, but does not buy on that visit, the chances are great that someone else will earn commission from that prospect. In all probability, it will be a successful affiliate marketer who will get the business. Why? Because in most cases, your prospect will not remember your name. He will remember the name of the product. And later, when he searches for the product, he will probably find the website of an experienced affiliate marketer who has developed a web page specifically for this product.
So in addition to a having list, you would benefit by having a website. If you are just starting out and do not have the money to buy a domain and paid hosting, consider using a free blog. An ideal way to promote affiliate products is by having a review site that gives honest reviews of two or three products. You would do well to have affiliate agreements with each of the products that you are reviewing. That way, if your prospects choose any one of the products in your review, you will make a commission.
The name of your blog should be related to the products that you are reviewing. An advantage to using free blogs is the fact that you can register any number of blogs and review different affiliate products on each one.
To maximize your affiliate success, place a sign-in box on each of your review sites. This way, you can continually build your list as people look at your reviews.
