Consumers are getting crushed by the soaring cost of gasoline here in the US. Prices are increasing almost daily and people’s budgets are stretched to the limit. However, there are a number of things that you can do to combat these wicked price increases. Following are some proven techniques that can reduce your gasoline costs by 50%.
1. Use regular gas instead of the premium blend if your owner’s manual permits it. There is thirty to fifty cent difference between the cost of regular and premium gasoline. And if your car is designed to run on regular gas, there is no advantage in filling up with premium. Of course, if your car requires premium, you should never use regular as it may cause some damage to your engine.
2. Keep your engine well maintained. A dirty air filter can reduce your gas mileage by as much as 40%. Change the air filter according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. However, if you live in an area that is prone to dust and dirt in the air, you should change the air filter more frequently.
3. Ensure that your tires are inflated to the proper pressure. Tires that are over or under inflated can reduce your gas mileage by a considerable amount. Use a tire gauge to check your pressure. Do not depend on the guage that is attached to the air hose where you get air. They are frequently inaccurate.
4. Slow down! By far the primary cause of most poor mileage is speed. As far as gas mileage goes; speed kills! Traveling at 75 miles per hour as opposed to 55 mph can reduce your gasoline mileage by a whopping 25%. So the next time you are late for an appointment, call them and tell them that you can’t afford to get there on time.
5. Keep your car well maintained mechanically. Worn out spark plugs not only rob your car’s gas mileage and power, it’s stealing the money right out of your pocket. A six cylinder car that has one fouled spark plug is wasting 17% of the gas you buy.
Following the 5 easy tips above, you can easily reduce your gasoline costs by 50%. Check out my newest ebook for tons of other details on how to cut expenses and put money in your pocket!

How To Slash Your Gasoline Costs And Have Money Left Over
We consumers are really feeling the pinch as gasoline prices continue to skyrocket in the US. There are a number of reasons that the price of gas is increasing: the economy's instability, Middle East war, fears that the supply cannot keep up with the demand, and a number of other factors.
Soaring gas prices are taking a considerable toll on consumers. Particularly those who are in the middle to lower income levels. Many people who were just getting by when gas was reasonably priced are now living month to month and paycheck to paycheck. They are only one payment away from bankruptcy.
If you are one of those individuals that have been beaten down by gas prices, you have two options. You either have to find another job (in addition to the one you’ve got), or you have to cut back (or perhaps slash) your expenses. It is either this or move back in with your parents and I know you don’t want to do that!
Here are some tips where you can save money. Use regular gasoline instead of premium if your car’s owner manner permits it. Performing routine maintenance on your vehicles can save a substantial amount of money. A dirty air filter can reduce your gas mileage by as much as 40%. Keep your tires inflated to the proper pressure. Tires that have incorrect pressure can further reduce your gas mileage. Slow down! Traveling at 55 miles per hour versus 75 can improve your gas mileage by 25%!
You can also save big money at the grocery store. Never go grocery shopping without a list. Spend the few extra minutes that it takes to make a list of the items you need. Then buy just those items. You will be surprised at the number of impulse items that you routinely buy (or should I say used to buy) at the grocery store.
Never buy prepared foods. That pre-made salad in a bag costs twice as much as buying the items separately and preparing the ingredients at home. This is true of almost all prepared foods. You pay dearly for convenience of food that is prepared for you. As an added benefit, the meals that you make yourself contain fewer chemical additives and are much healthier for you.
How about soda and bottled water? Switch over to tap water and you can save a tremendous amount. Do you always buy the name brand item? Use generics and store brands and you’ll be surprised at the amount of money you can save.

How To Get The Things That You Want In Life
All of us have hopes and dreams about the little extras we want in life. But all too often, these dreams go unfulfilled due to a lack of money. Most people focus on the fact that they don’t make enough money or the fact that the cash is not available now. But there is a way that you can get those little extras with the money that you have right now.
Instead of focusing on your current lack of available funds, concentrate on cutting your expenses. Cutting your expenses is an extremely easy way to help make your real dreams become a reality. By making a serious cost cutting effort, you can easily save enough for that new super-fast computer, fancy sound system, flat screen television, dream vacation, or even a new car. All of these things are obtainable if you cut out those unnecessary expenses that you are wasting your money on now. Try some of the techniques below and I think that you will be surprised at the amount of money you can save.
Almost every time you make a purchase and pay cash, you get a few coins in your change. At the end of each day, put all of your change in a jar. This can very easily add up to several hundred dollars at the end of the year.
Your grocery bill is an area where you can save big bucks! First of all, never go into a grocery store without a list. Spend a few extra minutes and make a list of the items you need. Then buy just those items. You will be surprised at the number of impulse items that you buy at the grocery store.
Never buy prepared foods. That pre-made salad in a bag is twice the cost of buying the items separately and preparing the ingredients at home. This is true of almost all prepared foods. You pay dearly for convenience of prepared foods. As an added benefit, the meals you make yourself contain les chemical additives and are healthier for you.
Are you a big soda and bottled water drinker? Switch over to tap water and you can save a tremendous amount. Do you always buy the name brand product? Use the generics and store brands. In many cases, your family won’t even know the difference. These two techniques can shave fifteen to twenty percent off your grocery bill.

Find Extra Money To Go On That Cruise
Would you like to go on a cruise but just can’t afford it? Is you budget stretched to the limit? Well relax; things might not be quite as bad as you think. You probably have a lot more room in your budget than you know. If you are just making ends meet and living month to month, there may be a way that you can go on that cruise.
Most people spend much more money than they think on frivolous impulse items. That coffee every morning, or those candy bars in the afternoon all add up to a considerable amount. If you cut out those meaningless impulse purchases, you can put a substantial amount of money in your pocket every month. Following is a list of items that you might be able to save money on and put enough money away for that cruise:
1. Going out to eat. How many times during the course of an average month do you eat dinner at a restaurant? The average family spends about $200 each month on food eaten outside the home. That includes lunches for children in school. If you invest in a supply of brown bags and some lunchmeat, you can easily shave $150 off this amount.
2. Do you get coffee or some type of breakfast treat on your way to work each morning? The expense may seem meaningless, but when you add it up, it comes to a considerable amount. By spending just $2.50 a day for coffee and a bagel, the annual cost for this meaningless luxury is about $600. Invest in a pound of coffee and drink it at home. This can easily save you $500 per year.
3. Do you eat and drink on a regular basis? I though you might. You can save big bucks by changing your grocery buying habits. Many people drink nothing but bottled water and soda (along with the occasional beer). By switch over to tap water, you can save you almost $300 each year.
4. Use coupons at the grocery store and frequent stores that give double the amount for your coupons. This little trick can save you a cool $250 a year.
I could go on and on, but I think that is about enough for one article. Using just these 4 easy steps above, I’ve saved you about $2850 over the course of a year. Now, I’m not sure what kind of cruise you are considering, but $2850 will get you on a pretty decent cruise. So, happy cruising!

Get Extra Money Without Getting An Extra Job
Do you need extra money for a new car but you don’t have the money? Or maybe a dream vacation but your budget doesn’t stretch that far. Too many people in this situation just say forget it, maybe next year. If you don’t want to get a part time job to pay for these little luxuries in life, maybe you have an alternative.
Instead of looking for another job to bring in additional income, many people can get extra money by cutting expenses. Most people spend much more money than they think. They forget about those little meaningless expenses like a cup of coffee in the morning or that soda and candy bar in the afternoon. These seemingly little expenses add up when you do it every day.
Take that coffee and bagel in the morning on the way to work. It’s a small meaningless amount, just $2.50 a day. But tat $2.50 a day adds up to $600 a year. Do you buy your lunch at work? And how about the kids, do they bring a bag lunch to school or do they buy their lunch? By packing lunches instead of buying them, you can save about $2000 per year. Now we are starting to talk about real money!
The grocery store is another place that you can save money. Drink tap water instead of soda or bottled water. This can save you almost $300 a year. Do you use coupons, by going to stores that give you double value for your coupons, you can save an additional $250 a year.
Another area where you can save big money has to do with your credit cards. How’s that? Leave them at home, don’t carry them with you! By leaving your credit cards at home you will reduce (or eliminate) those larger impulse purchases. This can save you $750 per year.
Using just the few techniques described above can save you almost $4,000 a year. Now how much money did you say you needed? Maybe you can slash a few more expenses and get both the vacation and the car!

Get $300 For Your Online Business
Need money for your online business? How does a no strings attached, extra $300 bucks sound? If you run a household, an extra $300 to $500 could be as easy as falling off a log. If you are like most people, you spend money on all kinds of impulse purchase almost every day. In fact, I would be surprised if you only frittered away $300 a month. Most people spend much more and don’t even realize it.
If you want to get your hands on a few hundred bucks extra, try these tactics below to free up some money from your monthly budget.
My first piece of advice, leave those credit cards at home. Your credit cards should only be used for emergencies. (And no, needing a new pair of shoes is not considered an emergency.) Just using this one technique can reduce your monthly expenses by a considerable margin. But we won’t count this toward the $300 we are trying to save you. This one is a freebie.
Let’s get serious. How often do you eat either lunch or dinner outside the home? According to the Consumer Expenditure Survey from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, most families spend over $2400 per year on food away from home. The bulk of this money is spent for lunches while people are working or at school. If you brown bag it and pack your lunch, you can save a considerable amount. By making this one little change, you can save as much as $200 a month! See how easy that was? We are already two thirds of the way toward generating that extra $300!
How about groceries? I assume that you eat on a regular basis. If that is the case, I can save you a bunch of money here. First, make a grocery list before you step one foot into the grocery store. Second, stick to your list religiously. If something is not on your list, you cannot buy it. Buy store brands and generics as opposed to the name brands. If you don’t tell them you family will never know the difference. Use coupons! Stay away from the convenience and prepared foods. You will always save money by making it yourself from scratch. And, I can almost guarantee you that it tastes much better. Give up soda and bottled water. Tap water is much better for you and costs about 1/100 of the price. Using just these few grocery strategies can easily save you an additional $100 per month.
And there you have it, we’ve saved that $300 you wanted for your online business. Of course, you don’t HAVE to use the savings on your business. After all the scrimping, saving, and sacrificing that you’ve been doing over the past month, maybe you can celebrate with a night on the town. But don’t spend over $300.

Saving Money For That Flat Screen TV
So you’ve been looking at that huge flat screen TV, but it doesn’t fit into your budget. And unfortunately, your credit cards are maxxed out. It looks like the flat screen is another item to add to that growing wish list that will never happen.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. With careful planning, you can easily save enough money to get that flat screen, vacation, or even that new car you’ve been drooling over. It ‘s just a matter of priorities. All of us spend money on small frivolous items that we can really do without. If you take all of your little impulse purchases, it can add up to a substantial amount at the end of a year.
Take that coffee you buy every morning on the way to work. Along with the occasional bagel, it amount to about $2.50 per day. It doesn’t sound like very much money and you can easily afford it, so what’s the problem? The problem is this; if you bring in a coffee from home, you can save that $2.50 expense. Over the course of a year, you will save about $360 from this little change.
Have you considered refinancing your mortgage? Interest rates are currently at historic lows. If your existing mortgage rate is significantly higher, you could save $200 to $300 a month by refinancing. (Of course, you should consult with a professional before making a decision like this.) If refinancing is right for you, you could easily save $2400 per year.
Food is another area where you can save money. Never go shopping without making a list beforehand and only buy items on your list. This will eliminate those impulse purchases that can really put a dent in your budget. Use store brands and generics instead of the name brands. Use coupons and look for stores that offer to double (or triple) them. By making just a few of these changes, you can easily shave 15% off your food budget. Your annual savings could easily add up to $800 a year.
The few savings listed above add up to over $3500 a year. You would have more than enough to get that flat screen TV. You might even have enough left over to order a high definition pay per view movie.

Get Extra Money Without Doing Extra Work
Many families are finding that their expenses are rising annually but their salaries are not. This puts a significant burden on the family budget. To make matters worse, many people spend more than they make. And these two things combined can strain a family budget to the breaking point.
There are two things that you can do to remedy the problem:
1. You can go out and find another job.
2. You can reduce your monthly expenses.
3. You can ask for more money from the family trust fund.
Unfortunately, number three is out for most of us, so we will focus on numbers 1 and 2. In many families, time is already at a premium and another job is out of the question. That leaves us with number two, reducing expenses.
Although you may not realize it, there are many ways to reduce monthly expenses. In fact, in my new ebook, I go one step further, I don’t show you how to reduce expenditures, I show you how to SLASH them! Following are a few examples of how you might free up some extra money and loosen that choke hold your finances have on you.
Let’s start out by talking about your credit cards. This is probably what got you into trouble in the first place. Leave your credit cards at home! If you don’t have them with you, you won’t be tempted to use them. You will only be purchasing items that you can afford to buy with cash.
Food is an area where you can save a bunch of money. Do you know how much you spend on food outside the home? On average, families spend about $2,400 on restaurant food each year according to the Consumer Expenditure Survey from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. A large part of this amount is spent for meals during work or school. You can trim a substantial portion of this amount from your budget if you invest in brown bags and lunch meat (or my personal favorite; peanut butter and bananas). That represents a savings of almost $200 each month!
With the economy in the crapper, interest rates are near all time lows. Check the rate that you are paying on your existing mortgage. If your existing rate is more than 1% higher than the current mortgage rate, consider refinancing. This is a very easy way to lighten the family budget. It can easily save you $100 to $300 per month.
Wow! In a few short paragraphs, I’ve saved you almost $500. I think that’s quite enough for one article. Just imagine how much I can save you in the full ebook! Slash Expenses and get your financial life back in order. Check out my newest ebook for details on how to put money in your pocket (without resorting to another job or the trust fund)!

How To Save $500 On Your Monthly Budget
Most families spend about 10% more than they make each year. And unfortunately, many of those families are experiencing some degree of financial problems. Your first line of defense against financial troubles is to reduce your expenses. If you are having a difficult time making ends meet, try these tactics below to free up some money from the family budget.
Start out by leaving your credit cards at home. Use them only for emergencies. (And no, needing a new purse is not considered an emergency.) This one tactic can reduce expenses considerably.
How often to you go to restaurants for either lunch or dinner? According to the Consumer Expenditure Survey from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, families spend over $2400 per year on food away from home. Much of this is spent for lunches while working or at school. You can save a large chunk of this by packing a lunch every day. Would it help you to have an additional $200 per month? This one technique can put that much in your pocket!
Check the interest rate that you are paying on your mortgage. This is an area that most people overlook. As a rough rule of thumb, if current rates are more than 1% below your existing rate, you might benefit by refinancing your mortgage. This could put an additional $100 to $300 in your hands each month.
How about groceries? There are several areas where you can save here. Never go shopping without a list and stick to your list religiously. Buy store brands and generics as opposed to the name brands. Use coupons! Stay away from the convenience and prepared foods. You will almost always save money by making it yourself from scratch. Give up soda and bottled water, tap water is still safe to drink in most places. These grocery strategies can easily save you an additional $100 per month.
You see, that wasn’t so hard. In just five short paragraphs, I’ve saved you $500! Just imagine how much I could save you in a full length book!
